📌DEFINITION
🔸Kaya Lepa Chikitsa is an Ayurvedic external therapeutic procedure in which medicated herbal paste (lepa) is applied over the entire body (kaya) or specific parts for therapeutic and cosmetic benefits.
🔸It helps in detoxification, nourishment, and rejuvenation of the skin and underlying tissues.

📌 PROCEDURE
1. Purva Karma (Pre-procedure):
🔸Patient assessment and selection of suitable lepa.
🔸Mild oil massage or fomentation if needed.
2. Pradhana Karma (Main procedure):
🔸Prepare fresh lepa by mixing powdered herbs with suitable liquid (like milk, rose water, or decoction).
🔸Apply evenly over the body or affected part in the direction opposite to hair follicles.
🔸Allow it to remain till semi-dry or prescribed time.
3. Paschat Karma (Post-procedure):
🔸Gently remove lepa with lukewarm water.
🔸Light oil application may follow.
🔸Rest and avoid exposure to cold or wind.

📌PRECAUTIONS

🔸Avoid excessive drying or cooling.
