    📌DEFINITION

    🔸Tvachya Chikitsa refers to Ayurvedic treatment modalities that maintain, protect, and enhance the health, complexion, and beauty of the skin by nourishing Rasa Dhatu, Rakta Dhatu, and Mamsa Dhatu, and by balancing Pitta and Kapha doshas. It is a part of Soundarya Chikitsa and Rasayana therapy.

    🔸Abhyanga (Massage): With medicated oils like Kumkumadi taila, Nimbadi taila.

    🔸Rasayana (Rejuvenation): Internal use of skin-nourishing Rasayanas.

    🔸Ahara & Vihara: Pathya diet and lifestyle for healthy skin.

    📌PRECAUTIONS IN TREATMENT 

    🔸Assess Prakriti (constitution) and Dosha predominance before selecting drugs/procedures.

    🔸Avoid excessive use of strong lepas on sensitive skin.

    🔸Maintain proper hygiene to prevent secondary infections.

    🔸Ensure gradual detoxification—avoid aggressive shodhana in weak patients.

    🔸Pathya-apathya (dietary care) must be strictly followed.
