📌DEFINITION :
🔸Yoni Varti is a form of local intravaginal therapy in which a medicated stick or bolus (varti) made from herbal drugs is inserted into the vagina for therapeutic purposes. It is mainly used to treat local infections, inflammation, and disorders of the female reproductive tract.

📌PROCEDURE :
1. Patient is advised to empty bladder and clean the local area.
2. Perform gentle vaginal cleansing with lukewarm medicated decoction (e.g.,Triphala Kwatha).
3. Prepare varti from powdered drugs mixed with a binding agent (like ghee or honey) and shape into stick/bolus form.
4. Lubricate varti with medicated ghee/oil.
5. Insert gently into the vaginal canal using aseptic precautions.
6. Leave it for a specific duration (as advised), then remove or allow it to dissolve naturally.
